![]() ![]() It’s crude bottom-up building but it does the trick for simple builds (hence the usefulness of submodels). Children may like a variation with LEGO flowers included. Then have them list the parts they will need, using only what they learned from the first vase build. Then, Studio can create steps automatically: go to the Instruction mode, select the parts, and a “divide into steps” buttons appears, click on it, et voilà. The video uses LEGO Digital Designer software to illustrate the steps of the build, although you don’t need the software to view the video or understand the instructions. Is there something similar to LDD automatically generated instructions available in Stud.io? Thanks!įirst, with 2000+ pieces, I hope you’re using submodels. Since I am building 2.000+ pieces projects it is very hard to follow the LDD or io file by itself to build the initial buid, and a quick instruction guide would be great. I know that Stud.io has a powerfull step-by-step instruction maker, but I would like to have a quick instructions generator, like LDD has (even if it is very rough and strange the way the steps are added) to make the first build of my creations, to test it for stability etc before making the final model (and then using the step-by-step maker to produce the final instructions). Thank you all for listening.I am making the switch from Lego LDD to Bricklink Stud.io (mainly because of the support for new pieces) but I didn´t find a way to create instructions automatically on Stud.io. ![]() I suggest people look for a download of the 4.3.11 version if they still want it which has parts files with a Brick Version. ![]() The Military Section Minifig Customisation Workshop LEGO Digital Designer and other digital tools Brick Flicks & Comics LEGO Mafia and Role-Play Games LEGO Media and Gaming Community. LEGO® BrickLink Studio to replace LEGO Digital Designer as the LEGO. LEGO Digital Designer (LDD) is a freeware computer program produced by the Lego. So I would ideally like a plugin that allows us to import files from LDD. LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling LEGO Action Figures Special LEGO Themes Special Interests. Minifigures and parts, reviews, instructions, prices, shops for set 1920. Maybe I'm missing something but Im pretty sure its just non existent. I've looked on the Autodesk plugin site and did not see anything for LDD. ![]() I don't want to make every piece because I want them to be REAL Legos, at the real size. Which is rough when every Film has to have characters, and the characters you want to use or make cannot be used in the film. All third party apps similar to LDD have almost no minifigure selections. And it definitely changes EVERY model in some way no matter what it is. If I export something from LDD and it has parts that the third party doesn't recognize, it just deletes that part, or parts. You might be asking, "So you can get it there, what's the problem?" Well, no parts library has the amount of parts that Lego Digital Designer has. I use two third party applications to get LDD models to Maya. Either way, all I want is the ability to export files from Lego Digital Designer to Maya without a third party or going through to add each individual piece. The Lego Movie people had a plugin for maya, nothing on the internet is very specific but it seems that either you exported individual pieces to maya or you exported models. I would love to make these types of films that look like stop motion but are animation, but the issue is Maya cannot open any type of file type that LDD can export to. There are other people here who have asked in the past for this but it may have been forgotten overall. I started using Maya to make stop motion like films but really be animation. ![]()
